Format menu


The commands of the Format menu enables you to set up paragraph and comment font settings.
All commands of this menu change the appearance of the selected piece of text, or of a text that will be entered after the current position of the cursor.

Paragraph
Menu item that calls up a list of paragraph formatting commands:

  Paragraph...
This command enables you to specify paragraph settings.

Increase indent
This command increases the indent for the selected paragraph.
Using this command in bulleted or numbered paragraphs increases the level of the current item of the list.

Decrease indent
This command decreases the indent for the selected paragraph.
Using this command in bulleted or numbered paragraphs decreases the level of the current item of the list.

Align Left
This command aligns a text by the left border.

Center
This command aligns a text by the center.

Align Right
This command aligns a text by the right border.

Justify
This command justifies a text to a given width.

Bullets
This command adds or removes paragraph bullets.

Numbering
This command adds or removes paragraph numbering.

Bullets and numbering...
This command opens up the Bullets and numbered lists dialog box that is used for the customization of styles and appearance of bullets/numbered lists.

Font...
This command calls up the standard font setting dialog box.

Bold
This command changes the standard font type to bold, and vice versa.
Text example: standard, bold.

Italic
This command changes the standard font type to italic type, and vice versa.
Text example: standard, italic.

Underline
This command changes the standard font type to underlined, and vice versa.
Text example: standard, underlined.

Strikeout
This command changes the standard font type to strikeout, and vice versa.
Text example: standard, strikeout

Super Script
This command sets a font into the superscript type. Use this command to enter mathematical, chemical and other formulas.
Text example: standard, superscript.

Sub Script
This command sets a font into the subscript type. Use this command to enter mathematical, chemical and other formulas.
Text example: standard, subscript.

Convert Hyperlink to Text
This command allows you to convert the selected hyperlink to text.

Increase font size by 1 point
This command increases the font size by 1 point

Decrease font size by 1 point
This command decreases the font size by 1 point

Format Case
This command changes the font case to:
  • TO UPPERCASE
  • (all characters become uppercase)
  • to lowercase
  • (all characters become lowercase)
  • iNVERT CASE
  • (all characters change their case to the opposite)
