Adding and editing events

The dialog box for adding and editing events contains 3 tab pages:
  • General - displays the name of an event, event day and alarm settings.
  • The Comment and Alarm pages are identical to corresponding pages in the editing dialog box for Notes.

The General tab page

This tab page indicates the title of an event. Event date and alarm settings.

The General tab page appearance:

Each event must have a title that may consist of several text lines.
Title - the field for storing an event title.

The Due Date field group is designed for setting a date and time of the beginning of an event.
To enter a date of the beginning of an event, use keyboard or one of these buttons:
Use the calendar to set up an event date.
To set an event date, select one of the following options:
  • Today
  • Tomorrow
  • In: 2 days (3 days, 4 days, etc. One week)
  • Next: Monday (Tuesday, Wednesday,..Sunday)
To enter the beginning of an event, use keyboard or the button, selecting one of the following options:
  • Current time
  • At: 0:00 (1:00, 2:00, etc. 23:00)
  • In: 5 minutes (10 minutes,...12 hours)
To prevent missing an upcoming event, set a prior alarm. To do this, mark the Remind before checkbox and select a time period for an alarm (minutes, hours, days, or weeks) that will be triggered prior to the given event.

In the right part of the Due Date field group you will find a field that displays general information about the date, time, event recurrence and the alarm.

If you set an alarm for an event, then the Alarm dialog box providing information about this event will appear on the screen at the alarm trigger time.

Advanced date/alarm settings help you specify the more flexible settings for an event date, alarm time and action (launching an application, opening a document).
